Creating Your Success
The challenges facing every business are distinct and numerous, Strategic Learning's systematic performance improvement process serves as a roadmap to managing these challenges, while developing the capability and competency needed to achieve "sustainable" growth.
The scalability of our process enables you to select from a range of optional solutions geared to the unique requirements of your business. There are five interdependent steps in Strategic Learning's systematic process. Each step is designed to inform and refine subsequent steps.
The first step in the process is Alignment and Assessment clarifies management's perspective of the current situation and identifies the targeted results. Typically the targeted results require engagement and alignment across several functions of the organization. Often competency assessment is called for to determine the current ability of segments of the work force, this first step is a gap analysis of current versus targeted performance, identification of business critical success factors, and proposed approaches to improving the identified work force segment.
The second step in the process is Competency Development, engages the work force in acquiring the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to equip them to directly contribute to business goals. This prescriptive approach insures that the "right people" receive the "right training" at the "right time". Our prescriptive approach includes applying the most effective and efficient method for delivering the training such as web cast, blended learning, and skill practice sessions.
The third step in the process is the development of Tools and Processes that contribute to effective execution of the new KSAs. Most businesses have existing tools and processes, which require minor modification to accommodate new competency driven activities. Some processes may have "outlived" their usefulness and actually serve as barriers to high performance.
The fourth step in the performance improvement process is Coaching and Application. Rapid progress through the learning curve occurs when a manager provides feedback, encouragement, and offers alternatives to overcome obstacles. Strategic Learning provides training in coaching as an aspect of our integrated performance improvement system. We provide managers with skill application sessions and tools to support each individual's development.
The fifth and final step in the process is Measurement and Feedback, which includes an analysis of training results with recommendations for sustaining the performance improvement and suggestions for future performance improvement initiatives.
